Mrs. Myrtle Parke Storm, Evangelist

This notice appears in the 18 August 1958 Christian-Evangelist at p. 908:

Mrs. Myrtle Parke Storm Has 50-Year Ministry

Carlock, Ill.–Myrtle Parke Storm, pastor of the Christian Church, will mark 50 years in the ministry, Aug. 31, when Wayne Parke, her nephew, will deliver the morning sermon.  A program and a reception is also planned.

Mrs. Storm first served the Carlock Church upon graduation from Eureka College in 1908.  Five years later, she married Homer Storm who died in 1940.

Mrs. Storm has held Illinois pastorates at Lexington,Bethany, Atwood, Lovington, Kansas, and Peoria, and returned to the Carlock congregation in 1957.  She has baptized nearly one thousand persons, and married 300 couples.  Mrs. Storm is planning to attend the World Convention of Churches of Christ in Scotland in 1960.

This card ca. 1913 or after, but not too much after as she evidently uses her Eureka College graduaton photo.

There are a few items from or about her in the Christian Standard and Christian-Evangelist indices, the content of which are not ready at hand.  For Myrtle’s Find-A-Grave Memorial, click here.
